BOOM! A 4th of July Science Celebration

Join Sci-Port for specialized Independence Day programming and a great view of the riverfront for fireworks (weather permitting) July 4 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Take a break from the heat while you wait for the show without losing your viewing spot for this family-friendly event. Tickets include hors d’oeuvres, specialized programming and access to Sci-Port. A cash bar will also be available.

There are two ticket offerings: Rooftop VIP and General Admission.
Reservation deadline: July 1, 2016
Prices do not include sales tax.

Rooftop VIP [limited to 76 tickets]:
Rooftop VIP includes hors d’oeuvres and exclusive access to Sci-Port’s rooftop to see the fireworks. Only a limited number of these tickets will be available. This ticket also includes access to all of Sci-Port and specialized July 4th programming.

General Admission [Limited to 100 tickets]:
General Admission includes access to Sci-Port, hors d’oeuvres and specialized programming. This ticket includes access to Sci-Port’s plaza for fireworks viewing. Guests are welcome to bring their own blankets and/or chairs to the plaza.

Parking Pass: $15.00 [limit 60]
A parking pass is for one parking spot in the Lake Street lot behind Sci-Port. A parking pass is only available to BOOM ticket holders. No campers, trailers or RVs. You must arrive by 7:30 p.m. to claim your parking spot. Clyde Fant Parkway will be closed July 4, so visitors must access the lot via Lake Street, which will be open July 4.

Important Notes:

1. Event takes place rain or shine.
2. No outside food, drink or alcohol permitted. A cash bar will be available.
   
3. No fireworks, smoking, cooking, umbrellas or tents permitted.
   
4. Refunds not available.
   
5. Sci-Port closes to the public July 4 at 2 p.m. Doors open for BOOM at 6:30 p.m. 
6. Parking is not guranteed. Limited parking passes for the Lake Street lot are available for $15.

Schedule of Events:

• 6:30 pm: Doors open. Patriotic Nighttime Skies Show and Dancing in the Dome begin. Curiosity Cart science activities begin.
  
• 7:30 pm: Demonstration in SWEPCO Theatre
  
• 8:30 pm: Demonstration in SWEPCO Theatre
  
• 9:20 pm: Fireworks begin (weather permitting)
  
• 10:30 pm: Event ends
