Artist Celebration of Vickie Marshall

Greetings Artists, Friends and Fans of Vickie Marshall –
Thank you for the many good wishes, hugs, cards, and even flowers that you have shared with Vickie’s “SRAC Family.” We are still in shock that we have lost Vickie…in what was just three short weeks. However, we are aware that there are many great memories to be shared and that the “SRAC Family” goes far beyond our staff and board members. YOU are part of the family and we know that Vickie would want an opportunity to share the “good times” together.
Therefore, on Monday, October 23, immediately following the monthly ROSTER ARTISTS’ Meeting, we will host a gathering for Vickie at ARTSPACE.
One of the things that Vickie ALWAYS wanted us to do…and we never achieved her goal…was a POT LUCK supper with Artists. She hoped “Pot Luck” could become a monthly gathering to share one another’s cooking and artistry. She has seen this monthly gathering in Arnouldville, and had hoped it would “spring up” naturally for Northwest Louisiana Artists. So, this is an opportunity to honor Vickie, on Monday, October 23, by trying an Artists’ Pot Luck gathering at ARTSPACE. SRAC will provide all beverages. Please bring whatever you will, and bring enough to share with friends…you don’t have to feed “everyone!” We’ll have plenty of “plugs” for crockpots, and will put everything out on tables for a big buffet to taste the joy of one another’s “favorites” while we share stories of Vickie. Lou Wells has generously offered to set the stage for a contemplative celebration by bringing his Shreveport Jazz Band to perform. If you wish to share an artistic moment for Vickie, please feel free to do so, we are encouraging you to keep it celebratory and brief (Corrie has promised to bring a “hook!”) And, please feel free to join in even if you prefer to just listen and soak up the love.
