2016 Summer Film Camps

*Registration: $185 ($150, RFC members)

In one-week sessions, campers in grades 3-12 learn how to take a film from idea to completion. Along the way they work on screenplay writing, set design, costuming, make-up, acting, cinematography, sound recording, producing, and directing.

Music Video Camp, June 13-17

Open to students who have completed grades 3-8, this camp teaches students how to direct and perform for music videos. Camp is held from 1-5 p.m. June 13-17 at Robinson Film Center, 617 Texas Street in Shreveport.


Comedy Camp, June 27-July 1

Open to students who have completed grades 6-12, this camp gives students an opportunity to use their comedic chops to write and star in a short comedy film. Camp is held from 1-5 p.m. June 27 through July 1 at Bossier Arts Council, located at 630 Barksdale Boulevard in Bossier City.


Murder Mystery Camp, July 18-22

Open to students who have completed grades 6-12, this camp allows students to create a world of mystery and crack a whodunit. Camp is held from 1-5 p.m. July 18-22 at Robinson Film Center, 617 Texas Street in Shreveport.
