Unwind Downtown Kicks off 2012 Bigger, Better with More Stuff!
January 17, 2012 – The popular Unwind Downtown Pub & Culture Crawl kicks off 2012 bigger, better and with more FREE stuff for participants. Each month on the third Thursday, downtown cultural spots and clubs throw open their doors to show what a fun night on the town SHOULD be like! On Thursday, January 19 the theme will be “Super Bowl Sweepstakes” and Unwind participants will have the chance to support their favorite NFL team. Football items will be given away throughout the night along with commemorative Saints glasses at the last stop of the evening. In addition, all Unwind participants can register for a drawing for a free night and brunch at the Shreveport Hilton Hotel.
For their $3 admission, Unwind participants will get: free lanyard and Pub Crawl cup, football swag and the chance for prizes throughout the night, free transportation, the 6th anniversary blowout at Phoenix Underground featuring Bon Temps Burlesque, free snacks and Miller/Coors beer drink specials throughout the night.
Unwind welcomes NEW sponsors Miller/Coors and Downtown Shreveport Unlimited who will be busy promoting Unwind and all the great things downtown has to offer.
Unwind Downtown begins at artspace, 710 Texas Street, with a party for the Patrick Sewell Art Exhibit. The buses will then roll to Ernest’s Orleans Restaurant, Lake Street Dance Hall, Chicky’s Boom Boom Room and will end the evening at Phoenix Underground. Unwind begins at 5pm and the buses stop rolling at 9pm.
Unwind Downtown would not be possible without the sponsorship of the Downtown Development Authority, Shreveport Regional Arts Council, the City of Shreveport and all the clubs that participate.
