There’s only one thing better than shopping small and local and that’s shopping small, local and one-of-a-kind.  December 3-9, the State of Louisiana and Downtown Shreveport are asking people to say ‘thank you’ to our local community of visual and performing artists, filmmakers, writers and more by supporting our thriving cultural economy.

Guess what? We’re going to make it fun to do.

On Wednesday, December 6 from 5 pm until 9 pm, we’re going to host our monthly Downtown Artwalk, but THIS will be an artwalk on steroids. Venues throughout downtown will be open with specials and art, food and fun. We’ll have pictures with Santa at The Agora Borealis, hot chocolate for all, a giant book sale at the Shreve Memorial Library, an arts market at Artspace and lots more. It will be a holiday artist event to remember. Remember, it’s free and all-ages friendly.

artspace, 708 Texas Street, will be hosting HOLIDAZE through Dec. 16. The walls will be covered with art for sale, there will be up to 20 artist booths and giftspace will be filled with custom items, perfect for holiday gift-giving.

More information is coming about events at The Norsworthy Gallery, the Agora Borealis, SALT Restaurant at the Shreveport Aquarium, Bon Temps Coffee Bar and Artipsy in the Red River District, the Remington Suite Hotel and Spa, and additional locations throughout downtown.
