Artwork on the Clyde Fant Parkway
Fountain at the RiverView Hall
Built in 1964 as a gift to the City of Shreveport, the fountain was fully restored with funding from the Alta and John Franks Foundation in 2016.
Indigenous Celebration
Indigenous Celebration by artist Curtis Patterson, 1984. Made of fabricated Bronze. Located at Riverfront Park at the Shreveport Aquarium.
Navy SEALs Monument
This monument, located in Shreveport’s Riverfront Park, is made of granite and bronze was created by artist Dr. Jim Ciaravella. It was dedicated in 2013. The monument commemorates the service and sacrifice of Lieutenant Commander Jonas B. Kelsall, 32, and Chief Petty Officer Robert J. Reeves, 32, both of Shreveport, who were among 30 servicemen supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in the province of Wardak in Afghanistan who died when their CH-47 Chinook helicopter crashed as a result of an Afghan insurgents’ attack in August of 2011.

Safe Harbor
Located at Shreveport Riverfront Park. Artist: Deedee Morrison, Morrison Studio. Safe Harbor was constructed of aluminum and steel with LED interior lights. 60 sheets of industrial grade aluminum were laser cut, gracefully bent and re-fabricated over an interior armature to create the oversized “buoy” sculpture in Riverside Park. Safe Harbor took its cues from a port or harbor which is a place of refuge for ships. The bollard is utilized to secure a ship in port and the buoy is a floatation device frequently used to mark direction for safe passage.

Shreveport Police and Firefighters Memorial
Clyde Fant Parkway near the Shreveport Aquarium. The Shreveport Police and Firefighters Memorial was built in 1999 in honor of the many men and women who courageously gave their lives in the line of duty. At the time of its construction, the memorial listed the names of 23 city police officers and three firefighters who died in duty-related incidents since 1894. The memorial is a permanent reminder of their ultimate contribution to public safety and their sincere desire to serve the citizens of Shreveport.
Shreveport Roses
Located at Clyde Fant Parkway at River View Park, These stainless steel “RiverView Roses” were created by Keatchie artist Greg Verbois and were installed in 2004 on the Shreveport river front. They have become an iconic place for photographers and a backdrop for weddings, concerts and parades.

This sculpture was commissioned in February 1995 by the Downtown Development Authority and the City of Shreveport. It represents community spirit, racial unity and fellowship. It also speaks to the importance of cooperation, family and community involvement.

Located on the wall of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention & Tourist Bureau, the mural is a 75’x20′, full-wall acrylic mural enhanced with LED Neon Flex lighting, the colorful mural references the cultural heritage of Shreveport-Bossier as well as local attractions such as festivals, live music, gaming and fine dining.

As Don Edwards painted this mural, employees made comments on things they felt should be included, such as the bear and the alligator and the artist included their suggestions as he went along. This mural is 80 feet in length and 22 feet high.

Marshall Street Train Overpass @ Cotton Street – West Wall

Built in 1920 by KCS; it is one of the first street underpasses built in order to facilitate traffic flow while trains were running. The medallion is based upon the Mandala-style medallions of the Municipal Auditorium.
