Local favorite John-Henry Crawford joins the orchestra for an evening that seamlessly blends the old and the new. Starting with Haydn and finishing with a work by a living Italian cellist/composer known for his eclectic style, this program will show just how versatile and entertaining the cello can be.

Gary Lee Clark Jr. is an American musician from Austin, Texas. He is best known for his fusion of blues, rock and soul music with elements of hip hop. In 2011 Clark signed with Warner Bros Records and released The Bright Lights EP. It was followed by the albums Blak and Blu and The Story of Sonny Boy Slim.

Violin virtuoso Jennifer Frautschi returns for one of her favorite works, the colorful and dramatic Violin Concerto No. 3 by Camille Saint-Saëns. The concert opens with Fauré’s gorgeous Pavane and a world premiere by Shreveport’s own James Eakin. Schumann’s tuneful Symphony No. 4 ends the program with a blaze of speed.
