A couple of months ago, artist Taffie Garsee asked some artist friends to paint with her…and they invited a few more friends…and so on. The invitation was: “No prizes, no grant money, no competition, no forms to fill out. Just use this photo as a reference for a 16″ x20″ interpretation of it, in a style that represents you and your work. Medium is up to you, as long as it’s 16″ x 20.”
I had 50+ people agree to participate and turn in pictures of their versions of the iris in all kinds of mediums and materials and interpretations.  Now, the Agora Borealis and Garsee are extending the invitation to anyone who would like to come see the works en masse, and be part of the completed project.
