In 2012, the first annual JA ROI Showcase: Volunteer & Student Recognition was held to show the community what we do and why we do it!

Junior Achievement’s volunteer-led lessons in economics have a positive influence on our students and can change the dynamics of their families and our communities. Through our event, JA Empowers: Student & Volunteer Showcase, you will experience firsthand how JA programs empower young people to own their economic success. This opportunity to show “what we do and why we do it” is an energizing event and brings a fresh enthusiasm to keep us all on track as we help students learn the importance of staying in school so they might use their education to enjoy a successful life and sustain our community.

At Junior Achievement, we give young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Our volunteer-delivered, relevant, hands-on experiences give students knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. JA programs make a connection between what students learn in school and demonstrate how these lessons can be applied in their lives. JA enhances the relevance of their classroom learning and increases their understanding of the value of staying in school.
