January Star Party

The feature of the night will be the constellation of Orion the Hunter. Orion is well known for his belt (Orion’s Belt) as well as his bright stars. With telescopic observations, visitors will look at the iconic Orion Nebula. This nebula is a stellar nursery – hundreds of stars are in various stages of formation.
Other significant constellations are Canis Major, Canis Minor, Taurus, Gemini and Auriga. A few bright stars are Sirius, Betelgeuse, Rigel and Capellea.
