ACT Presents Godspell

The Academy of Children’s Theatre will open their 12th season with Stephen Schwartz’s beloved religious musical , Godspell. The production will be November 11-12 at 7:00 pm and November 13 at 3:00 at Emmett Hook Performing Arts Center ,550 Common Street in Shreveport . Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased at ACTtickets.info . Group ticket discounts are available to groups of 10 or more.
The modern day retelling of the Gospel of St. Matthew includes such popular Broadway songs as “Day by Day”, “O Bless the Lord”, “We Beseech Thee” and “Light of the World.” The production is directed by Cynthia Hawkins Whitaker with musical direction by Daniel Ley. Choreography is by Elizabeth Mendell Carmody and sets by Jonathon Offutt. The production stars popular local actors Christian Dantes, Carter Whitaker, Cordara Newson, Emily Martinson, Olivia Zeagler and Tianna Andrews.
