Critical MASS 5 Exhibition Opening
Hosted by Shreveport Common, Artspace Shreveport and Shreveport Regional Arts Council
The Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) presents CRITICAL MASS 5, an open invitational exhibition for all Northwest Louisiana Directory & Roster Artists held in artspace’s coolspace gallery on the second floor. Artists from Northwest Louisiana are encouraged to register with the Directory at www.nwlaartists.org in order to be eligible to submit work to be exhibited.
Works in the show will be reviewed by professional critics selected by “Critic Curator,” Robert L. Pincus, Ph.D, who has curated the Critics for several previous Critical Mass exhibitions. The Critics will select the work of one visual artist, one literary artist and one performing artist to each receive a “solo” Exhibition or Presentation in coolspace.
Additionally, each winner will receive a $2,000 cash award to fund their exhibition or presentation and an advertisement featuring the selected Artist in a national publication. Each Critic will review the final “solo” work; the review will be published.

CRITICAL MASS 5 PERFORMANCE: Wednesday, April 4, 6:30-10:00 PM
OPENING & AWARDS: Thursday, April 6, 5:30 – 8:30 PM
The CRITICAL Mass 5 Exhibit Opening Reception & Award Announcement will be held at artspace.
CRITICS’ REVIEW and TALK: Saturday, April 8, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon:
EXHIBITION DATES: Thursday, April 6 – Saturday, June 3
