Hosted by Sassi Cafè

Dinner at the Museum is an intimate experience of Cultural Cuisine during318 Restaurant Week.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, this living history dining adventure will feed your hunger for creativity with an evening of art and cuisine at the Southern University Museum of Art in Shreveport with a focus on African American women who have had an impact on Louisiana culture and/or history. This downtown Shreveport museum showcases historic and contemporary one-of-a-kind African-American art and artifacts.

Enjoy culinary creations by Chef Monique Armand while discovering a little “art and soul” as you progress through dinner courses that were inspired by foods that historic African American women would have had during their lives.

This four course dinner will include:

  • Blackberry Bacon & Blue Cheese Salad
  • Sausage White Bean & Spinach Soup
  • Creole Chicken topped with Sauteed Vegetables over Garlic Mash Potatoes
  • Classic Cheesecake with a Strawberry Sauce
