Fireworks Fun!

  • Snap, Crackle, Ka-Boom! – Noon, 2 p.m. & 4 p.m.
    Learn about the chemistry behind the awe and wonder of fireworks!
  • Rockets on the Red – 10 a.m., 1 p.m. & 3 p.m. (No 10 a.m. on Sunday)
    Make your own rocket and launch it toward our target.
  • Red, White, etc. – 11 a.m. & 2 p.m.
    Explore color with a homemade color wheel.
  • Fireworks Glasses – SOAR; Ongoing
    Make the fireworks on the 4th explode with color while learning about light diffraction.
  • Starry Night, 1776 – Space Dome, 2:30 p.m.
    Stop by the planetarium and see what the sky would have looked like on July 4, 1776!

Ken Krefft will recite the Declaration of Independence on the
balcony over looking the lobby at 3 p.m. on July 4.
