6th Annual SAF Reception & Awards

Foundation to host 6th annual national performing arts scholarship, 4th annual local dance scholarship 3nd annual Power Movers awards and 3rd Executive Director’s Legacy Award, posthumously

Shreveport/Bossier City, LA—Shufflin’ Foundation will host its 6th Annual National Performing Arts Scholarship, its 4th Annual Dance Into Your Destiny (DIYD) Scholarship and its 3rd Power Movers Award, Friday, April 13, 2018, 5:30pm Central ArtStation, 801 Crockett Street, Shreveport, LA. 71101. Tickets for this event are $50 per person and $250 for a table of 7. This formal attired reception and fundraiser will support a student who will be majoring in any area of the performing arts: dancing, acting, singing, music and musical theater.

This is a NATIONAL scholarship so anyone in the United States can apply for the $3,000 award. In 2017 our fifth award was given to the Orchesis Dance Company of Grambling State University under the direction of Dianne Maroney Grigsby.

The Shufflin’ Along Foundation’s board of directors will also be honoring three dynamic individuals in the NE/NW, Louisiana/East Texas area that have made great strides on a local, regional and national level. The three Power Movers honorees are Jada Durden, Brandy Evans and Darrin Dixon. The Executive Director’s Legacy Award will be given posthumously to none other than Vickie Marshall.
