ArtBreak’s Got Talent – Open Auditions

Auditions will be Tuesday, March 17th from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Artspace, 710 Texas St., Downtown Shreveport. There is no set audition time. Contestants sign in and wait to be called for their turn. Please bring the filled in form to the auditions.

The annual ArtBreak’s Got Talent Show is back! The most talented students from ECE – 12th grades compete in various categories for a chance to take home the big bucks!.

The talent show features fine arts performances by students, including, but not limited to: singers, musicians, dancers, dramatic performances, comedy skits and monologues. ArtBreak awards more than $1,000 in cash and prizes.

TALENT SHOW RULES
� Groups and individuals are eligible. Students MUST be enrolled in PARTICIPATING Caddo Parish Schools grades ECE – 12 or PARTICIPATING private, charter or home school association.
Individuals and groups may only audition once. MAXIMUM GROUP SIZE IS 8. If you audition with a group, you may not audition individually.

� Tracks used as accompaniment MUST BE INSTRUMENTAL ONLY, NO LYRICS! The exact track to be used at the competition must be used at the dress rehearsal. There are no substitutions!

� MP3 / Flashdrive / Digital tracks are accepted; however CDs are not accepted.

� The song/number/act performed at auditions must be the same as the one performed at the Talent Show. This is a STRICT rule.

� Mandatory dress rehearsal is Thursday, April 23rd, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Shreveport Convention Center. ALL contestants must attend the auditions and dress rehearsal. Failure to attend the dress
rehearsal results in dismissal from the Talent Show. Your dress MUST be age appropriate.

� The Talent Show is Saturday, April 25th and begins at 6:30 pm. All contestants will arrive 45 minutes before the beginning of the show; no later than 5:45 pm for seating and instruction.

� All acts, including language, costuming and theme, must be appropriate for family audiences. (ArtBreak is rated “K” for Kids!)

� Tumbling, twirling, stand-up comedy, lip sync, dance lines, or drill teams are not eligible.

TALENT SHOW QUICK CHECK
� The student MUST submit the Talent Show Audition Form to the auditions by Tuesday, March 3rd.

� Audition at the Artspace, 710 Texas St., Downtown Shreveport on Tuesday, March 17th, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

� The Talent Show will start at 6:30 pm, Saturday, April 25th.
