Wednesday, we will hear from Charles Holoubek about the Legal Liabilities of an Entrepreneur from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM!

If you plan to attend the Master Class only and are not enrolled in the certification program, ARTIST UP!, please do not arrive before 6:00 PM.

Charles G. Holoubek, JD, MBA, MSEL, is a Shreveport native, Shreveport based, USPTO Registered Patent Attorney with the New England intellectual property law firm Davis & Bujold, PLLC. His practice focuses exclusively on federal intellectual property, and provides full-service intellectual property counseling and advocacy to businesses and individuals in the United States and around the world. Mr. Holoubek is a former Chair of the Intellectual Property section of the New Hampshire Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer and author on issues concerning intellectual property matters. As such, he and has presented and published on patent, trademark, copyright, and other intellectual property issues to legal and non-legal audiences around the country. As an Adjunct Professor of Law and Intellectual Property Professional in Residence at LSUS, he has presented a yearlong lecture series on business and legal aspects of Biomedical Innovation at LSU Health Science Center Shreveport, and conducted 18 monthly CLE classes (“IP for the GP”) for Shreveport area attorneys and judges focused on a wide variety of Intellectual Property Law topics applicable to general business and corporate practitioners. Mr. Holoubek has worked with the LA Start Up Prize since its inception to help innovative entrepreneurs strategically position themselves regarding their intellectual property. Lastly, he is the founder and director of the Louisiana Patent Academy at LSUS, and just recently finished a Bioentrepreneurism seminar series, The Business of Science, that he presented at and co-organized with LSUHSC and Innolyzer Labs.
