Book Talk with Rev. Dr. Harry Blake
Hosted by Shreve Memorial Library
We’re honored to have Shreveport Civil Rights Leader Rev. Dr. Harry Blake visiting our Main Branch for a book talk in celebration of African American History Month! He will be sharing about his new book, “Plantations, Protests, Pulpits: Lessons from the Phases of My Life.” History professor Dr. Cheryl White will introduce Dr. Blake, and we will have a music performance from the Green Oaks High School Jazz Band. Copies of Rev. Dr. Blake’s book will be available for purchase at the event. Details: http://bit.ly/2MNftle
