THE UNIVERSITY OF FIRST PRESBYTERIAN offers its next event at the SHREVEPORT WATER WORKS MUSEUM! Join us on Wednesday, January 10th at 5:30pm for Destination: Downtown! This will be a special evening with a presentation & tour led by Liz Swaine-Executive Director, DDA & Downtown Shreveport Development Corporation. The McNeill pumping station is a turn-of-the-century (the LAST century, that is) water works that was the last known steam-powered municipal water treatment plant in the United States when its steam engines were finally retired in 1980. It is a national historic landmark. Come join us for some snacks and a group tour led by downtown expert, Liz Swaine. The event is free and open to all! Invite a friend and join us after work!
