Fashion Prize 2019
The Fashion Prize was born out of a collaboration between the Agora Borealis, a local artist marketplace and art gallery, and the nationally recognized Louisiana Film Prize.
The Fashion Project/Fashion Prize is our newest addition – comprised of a year long, design competition in Northwest Louisiana and culminating during Prize Fest this October. Seven local designers were handpicked and curated to produce a collection of 10 to 15 looks from initial conception and design to final runway, and provided a series of workshops, professional critiques, and peer support. In May during the Fashion Project preliminaries, these designers competed in a sold out runway show in front of judges and a live audience to determine which three designers would move on to compete in this year’s inaugural Fashion Prize.
Our finalists will have the opportunity to have their collections walk the runway and compete for an all-expense paid trip to New York for industry mentorships and exposure.
