In Wes Anderson’s stop-motion-animated film, an outbreak of canine flu in Japan leads all dogs to be quarantined on an island. A boy (voiced by Koyu Rankin) journeys there to rescue his dog (Liev Schreiber) and gets help from a pack of misfit canines. The cast also includes Bryan Cranston, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson and Yoko Ono. Animation/Comedy, 101 min., PG-13.
