Meet the Artist – An Afternoon with Cathy Cobb
Head down to 1200 Marshall Street on the first Saturday in April, and meet the artist of our newest gallery exhibition; Cathy Cobb! We are excited to have her as our second installation in our new addition to the brewery.
Cathy has been a Shreveport Regional Arts Council Roster Artist since 2018, and completed their “Artist Up Entrepreneurial Program” in the Spring of 2019.
When asked about her vision and how she’s artistically inspired, Cathy says, “When viewed from different angles, everyday moments can become transfigured, revealing the depth of layers within. I try to capture this through acrylic painting. I paint life as I see it – filled with color and complexity. My years in pastoral ministry have helped me learn to be still with the subject and to appreciate the beauty within.”
She is a true beauty herself, and we are proud to have her work as our gallery exhibit for the month of April!
