Northwestern State University’s School of Creative and Performing Arts will stage its most popular holiday production, the annual Christmas Gala, on the stage of Shreveport’s historic Strand Theatre this December. Inspired by New York’s Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, the Christmas Gala showcases the talents of students and faculty in NSU’s world-class music, theatre, dance and art programs. The show is a perennial favorite and is sure to delight audiences of all ages with Christmas songs, skits and dance numbers that celebrate the magic of Christmas, such as the wildly popular Nutcracker dance, the NSU Jazz Orchestra, the Percussion Ensemble and several other featured musical and vocal ensembles.
Months of planning and preparation go into the annual Christmas Gala production, which is annually seen by more than 12,000 people in Natchitoches. This year, NSU is proud to share this exceptional holiday tradition with the Shreveport/Bossier audience.
