Come explore Shreveport’s oldest cemetery with a popular and expert tour guide – Dr. Cheryl White!
Dr. White, history professor at LSU Shreveport, is a board member of the Oakland Cemetery Preservation Society and co-author (with Dr. Gary Joiner) of the book Spirits of Pioneers and Heroes: Shreveport’s Historic Oakland Cemetery. She has long been a friend to those buried in this cemetery and is able to uniquely tell some of the most epic and fascinating stories of Shreveport’s past within the walls of this wonderful landmark site.
The tour lasts approximately one hour.
