This is going to be an action-packed meeting this month and we’ll start promptly at 6pm! Coffee and water will be provided.
Our guest speaker is Marjorie Esman, Executive Director of ACLU Louisiana. She will be covering current state-wide topics such as non-unanimous jury convictions, the first amendment rights of students in the wake of the #TakeAKnee movement, bans on interviews with prisoners and legislation against panhandling. Esman will take questions after the 30 minute presentation. This presentation is free and open to the public.
