Join Shreveport Opera as it continues its 69th Season with Mozart’s The Magic Flute.
It’s a Fairy Tale Opera sung in English that is perfect for the entire family! Prince Tamino must go through a number of difficult tests with his buffoonish, bird-brained new friend – Papageno. If he is triumphant in his journey, he will be greatly rewarded, and he will be found worthy of the young Pamina, the girl he loves. If Papageno is successful, he might end up with his lovey-dovey…Papagena! It’s a great story about good conquering over evil, and even the common man can be victorious if by following a few simple rules.
