Join Southern University Museum of Art Shreveport for a celebration of Black History Month with the Art and Soul of Shreveport Experience Tour. This guided tour, presented in partnership with Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau, is open to the public and will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. Tickets are $20 each and are now available for purchase through BrownPaperTickets.com.

Tour participants will journey to discover the Art and Soul of the African and African American experience at Southern University Museum of Art in downtown Shreveport. Explore art and artifacts from West and South Africa with museum curator Angelique Feaster Evans. Experience the stories, sights and sounds of African American life in Shreveport through the lens of art and culture.

Attendees will enjoy a guided tour of the museum exhibits, participate in a drum circle, and create their own mini masterpiece of Adinkra Art. The tour is expected to last approximately 90 minutes.
