After hate claimed so many victims this past weekend, we will designate this month’s Together Tuesday as “Stronger Together Tuesday.” We will gather together to console and support each other.

People from all backgrounds are invited to meet under the Texas Street Bridge in Shreveport (in front of the Bon Temps Coffee Bar 450 Clyde Fant Memorial Pkwy) Tuesday, November 6 at 6:00 PM.

Park for free ‘next door’ at the garage across from the Eldorado Casino then come under the Texas Street Bridge). This location provides a place to gather even in the rain, with lighting for the darker months. We sometimes gather inside the Bons Temps when the weather is bad.

We also get to know each other. The hope is that by coming together it will encourage conversation and strengthen our greater community. You can stay as long or short as you want.

We plan to continue this as a monthly event – the first Tuesday of every month. We started this in August, 2016 and each month we have had a “repeat” group of about half a dozen people, with new faces each month. We have prayed apart, prayed together, sung together, talked together, been inspired by each other. Each experience is different.
