Sustainability by Design – STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math)
Sustainability by DesignTM
The Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM (TIES) is pleased to offer design technical assistance to support year 2 for the North Louisiana STEM Alliance. Specifically, TIES will host a design session with key stakeholders in your community with the intent of designing and prioritizing infrastructure and capacity building activities.
To support your needs, we will conduct a focused Design Studio, representing districts, schools, museums, businesses, institutes of higher education, community members, and funders. The Design Studio will serve your ecosystem by enabling stakeholders to create and build ownership of the work moving forward.
Specifically, TIES will offer one, ½ day design session, Sustainability by DesignSM. During this session, we will walk through a variety of organizational and governance models as a baseline for conversations. Participants will design the desired organizational and governance structures of the ecosystem as it grows in influence and reach. The goal will be to define the structures and systems specific to the North Louisiana STEM Alliance to enable sustainability in terms of attracting and retaining human capital and to enable efficient and effective work.
