Stage Center: @HOME continues when tickets go on sale Monday, April 12 for the first School of
Performing Arts production in our 10th Anniversary Season, Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID (junior edition),
with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman & Glenn Slater, and a book by Doug Wright. The
event was captured on sound stages over 10 weeks, and will be streamed to your favorite device. We
are also hosting in-person watch parties at Central Artstation! The family-favorite is directed by
SCSOPA Director of Education Maddison Gilcrease, with choreography by Kaitlyn Bundrick-Brown, and
musical direction by Gilcrease and Aiden Poling.
Journey “under the sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR., an
enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. In a magical underwater
kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind
and live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, make a deal with the evil sea witch,
and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking.
