The Logan Mansion’s Winter Tale and Historic Tour

Come join us for a holiday tour of this historic Victorian-style home in downtown Shreveport. Local popular Victorian expert, Jan Pettiet, of “Yesterday’s Lady”, will be conducting the guided tours that will feature historic clothes of the era, the history of The Logan Mansion, and Christmas holiday traditions of Victorian times that have become part of today’s American culture.

The Logan Mansion is one of the few “true” Victorian homes still standing in Shreveport and Bossier City built in 1897. There is nothing typical about this historic Victorian architectural masterpiece; there are four different types of handcrafted hardwoods throughout the home. The Logan Mansion is also listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Proceeds from the tour assist in the maintenance and preservation of the Logan Mansion and a percentage of this year’s proceeds will be donated to the Gingerbread House, a regional children’s advocacy center for abused children.

Each of the 7 rooms on the tour will feature a decorated Christmas tree. A special Victorian treat will be served at the end of each tour.

*Please note the the tour does require climbing one flight of stairs. The Logan Mansion does not have an elevator.

Walk-ups welcome, cash accepted at the door.

Tickets: $10 per adult; $5 per child.

*Tours will be one hour in length.
