The Public with panel discussion

During a life-threatening cold snap in Cincinnati, homeless citizens barricade themselves inside the public library to seek shelter, with the help of a reference librarian, played by writer-director Emilio Estevez. Join us for a panel discussion on how some of the themes in the film are reflected in our downtown community. Panelists will include Cassie Hammet with The Hub: urban ministry, LeVette Fuller City Councilwoman, District B, and Chris Kirkley with Shreve Memorial Library, with Shreve Memorial’s Samantha Bonnette serving as moderator for the discussion.

Screening made possible from grant support provided by Community Foundation. Presented in partnership with Shreve Memorial Library
