Looking for fun on Father’s Day? Abby Singer’s Bistro at Robinson Film Center is doing a Dad’s Day Brunch with all the stuff Dad likes (bologna? beer?) The brunch runs from 10:30 am until 2 p.m. on Sunday and costs $22 per adult and $12 for those 12 and under. Call 318-459-4125 for reservations. Afterwards, catch one of the great movies on the RFC screens!

Does Dad like music and beer? The Red River Brewing Co. has you covered with their Sunday Jam. The fun starts at 3 p.m. on Sunday and features random singers who show up with their instruments. Tip a beer and get some grub from Fat Calf Boucherie.

If your Father is tinkerer and loves to know how and why things work, you should really, really take him to the Shreveport Water Works Museum! This 132-year old water works facility is a National Historic Register, American Water Works and Civil Engineering Landmark, the LONGEST-RUNNING steam-powered facility in the United States. It truly IS a remarkable place and you will fall in love with it (and so will Dad). It is open Sunday noon until 4 p.m. Admission is free, but you will definitely want to purchase Dad one of the cool water works T-shirts! (Don’t forget to see the Railroad Museum co-located at the SWWM site.)

Run by Lena’s Shoes at 501 Milam for a sale going on through Saturday. Lena’s has all sorts of top lines for men and the shop has many of them on a huge 50% off sale! Check it out, Dad’s tootsies will thank you!

Don’t forget all the fashions at On-Time Fashion at 621 Texas Street, next to Robinson Film Center. They are slap full of hats, socks, ties, shirts, suits and more. They can also tailor to fit.

Have a great Father’s Day!
