75 years is a birthday/anniversary to remember and Heard, McElroy and Vestal, one of the largest public accounting and consulting firms in NW Louisiana, is doing just that. However, they are turning their celebrations outward, to help the community.
At the beginning of this year, HMV launched six months of giving to honor their years in business. Over the past several months employees have given blood, donated food to local food banks and during the winter ice storm, they took needed items to Holy Angels.
On Friday, June 25, HMV partnered with the Shreveport DDA on a ‘Make Downtown More Beautiful Day’. More than 40 HMV employees armed with garden shears and other lawn instruments took on sections of downtown to prune, nip and improve the looks of shrubs and trees that needed love. It was hot, muggy, buggy, and some blood was shed as tree branches fought to remain intact. Overall, though, it was a great afternoon with stories to tell. THANKS, Heard, McElroy and Vestal, for caring about downtown and our community!

To celebrate Heard, McElroy & Vestal’s 75th Anniversary, the firm has planned a 6-month service initiative – HMV’s 75 Years of Giving to Continue Growing! As part of this initiative, HMV has partnered with the Liz Swaine at the Downtown Development Authority to organize a community service opportunity for our employees to ‘beautify’ downtown.
