The west side of 331 Milam Street, the building that houses the downtown post office and The Office Hub, is going to be undergoing a transformation this Juneteenth weekend.

A new mural, entitled Absolute Equality is a collaborative project commemorating Juneteenth with Shreveport faces, people and places. The original art by muralist/artist Ka’Davien Baylor will be a combination of paint and vinyl and will be completed on Saturday, June 18 during the ‘art-ish black art show at The Lot, 400 Crockett Street. There will be opportunities to participate in the project, and you’re invited to come out and help or just watch the art being created! Partners in the mural include the Parish of Caddo The Office Hub – Shreveport Shreveport Regional Arts Council & Envision Media & Marketing.
