Each year the Louisiana Film Prize works with a local artist to create a commemorate poster, but we think 2020’s version is pretty perfect. Artist Lauren Ross‘ take from a Louisiana Film Prize perspective pretty much says it all because whose head HASN’T exploded at some point in this dumpster- fire- of- a- year? Ross, an accomplished local painter and co-owner of C & C Mercantile and Lighting, pondered over the components and put paint to paper over a two-week period and this is the outcome. Says Lauren, ” 2020 has been nothing less than mind-blowing, it only makes sense this poster reflect that. So proud of this piece, so proud of the talent we have in North Louisiana and so proud of the talent North Louisiana attracts to the area.” Viva La Film Prize and Viva la Lauren!
