Got dogs or just love them? If so, show up Saturday morning starting at 7 a.m. at the Shreveport Dog Park at the Stoner Boat Launch for a Dog Park Clean Up Day.

If your Fido loves the park, then you no doubt are aware that it took a beating during recent river flooding. The City’s department of Public Assembly and Recreation (SPAR) has been hard at work with repairs, but the last bit of cleanup is going to be a group effort, hopefully by the group who loves the park the most. How can you participate? Show up Saturday, June 9 at 7 AM with shovels, gloves, rakes, brooms and other such items.

Don’t forget bug spray and sunscreen, but leave the pooches at home. You’ll be planting flowers, cleaning signs and seating, cleaning the fence row, power washing and other fun things. Afterwards, the park will open to dogs and you can bask in the knowledge that YOU helped make a difference. Woof!
