On Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25, the Red River is turning into a high-speed racetrack as F1 Powerboats hit the water for a weekend of nonstop action in downtown Shreveport. These sleek, lightning-fast boats can reach speeds of up to 120 mph — and they’ll be tearing down the river with fans lining the banks to catch the excitement up close.

Want the best view in the house? Snag a VIP ticket and head to the Shreveport Aquarium, where you’ll get front-row access, food and drinks, and a chance to meet the drivers. The night before the race, fans can get an insider’s look at the boats and teams during a special preview event.

And just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, the newly renovated splash pad next to the Aquarium will be open — the perfect cool-down spot for families while they take in all the thrills.
