Andrea Barbier is a Baton Rouge–based commercial and fine art photographer who expertly crafts one-of-a-kind photographs using the French alternative process of Mordançage. Each of her images begins in the darkroom and are hand-manipulated to create pieces that explore the topics of intimacy, memory, and the female experience. Her exhibition, Archive of Feeling, draws on more than two decades of artistic exploration and experimentation with this unique process. She holds degrees from Savannah College of Art and Design and Louisiana State University and has exhibited nationally and internationally. She currently serves as in-house photographer for Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry.
