The Southern University Alumni Federation (SUAF) will host its 2025 National Leadership Summit in Shreveport, Louisiana, bringing together alumni, university leaders, and supporters for three days of dialogue, development, and fellowship, June 26–28.

This year’s summit will feature keynote speakers including U.S. Congressman Cleo Fields, Louisiana State Senator Sam Jenkins, Southern University System President Dennis J. Shields, and Southern University at Shreveport Chancellor Dr. Aubra J. Gantt.

“We’re inviting all alumni and friends of Southern University to come out and be a part of this important weekend,” said Carlton B. Jones Jr., SUAF National President. “This is a chance to hear directly from university leadership, engage in thoughtful conversation, ask questions, and most importantly, fellowship with fellow Jaguars in the spirit of unity and progress.”

The summit aims to strengthen alumni engagement and support for Southern University’s mission through leadership development, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. Attendees will receive university updates, participate in strategy sessions, and celebrate distinguished alumni during the weekend’s culminating events.
