Carrefour’s Collaborative Music’s Spring 2025 Season begins with a sonic exploration of the forces of light and darkness inside us and around us. Argentinian composer Osvaldo Golijov’s “Tenebrae” for string quartet is paired with the piece that inspired it: French Baroque composer François Couperin’s “Leçons de Ténèbres.” The program also features the regional premiere of American composer Eliza Brown’s “the light that blurred the stars” for soprano and string quartet, a work exploring human survival and renewal.
