Agatha Fertitta McCall is one downtown business owner who believes in herself and knows she can, and she does!
Well-known in downtown Shreveport because of her family’s business – Fertitta’s Delicatessen, Agatha grew up at the restaurant at 1124 Fairfield Avenue, and for decades has continued the family tradition of creating downtown’s favorite muffuletta sandwich, the “muffy.” Papa Fertitta’s fabulous Olive Mix is also available at Fertitta’s.
Agatha has written her memoir which will be premiered when she celebrates her 75th birthday with a book signing on October 5, 2024, from 2pm – 4pm at the restaurant. Food service will not be available that day, but Agatha and her family invited you to stop by for birthday cake and punch. She will sign copies of her book, Sicilian Soul Food: A Legacy of Love, which will also be available for sale.
