Officials from the local Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LaDOTD) brief the Shreveport City Council on a big and needed project- upcoming repairs to Interstate 20 throughout Shreveport and Bossier City.
Though their Public Information Officer Erin Buchanan stresses this is all preliminary until the contracts are issued, the total rehab/patching project will stretch from Pines Road in Caddo Parish to just beyond I-220 in Bossier Parish.
There will be work near downtown at areas all along the map indicated by yellow and red pins.
The work will not begin until at least July of 2023, and won’t start at each location simultaneously. The estimated length of the project is nearly two years at a cost of $93m.
