If you’ve been to Fatty Arbuckle’s in the Red River District lately, you’ve seen trenches dug in the planters at the base of the Texas Street Bridge columns. Those trenches were to run the lines for new lighting which is now in and on.
Over the past months, things had gotten very dark in the district, but Fatty’s owner Chase Boytim says things are already looking brighter and better.
In addition, property manager Lea Hall Properties says three new leases in the District are in the works. Those lease payments, they say, will help in funding additional police officers. SPAR is also working with Lea Hall on updated plantings and plant maintenance.
In just the new few weeks, the District will welcome two tenants, one new and one moving- Cassandra’s on the River in suite 100 and Fusion Nutrition, an energy tea and smoothie business that is moving to suite 800, near the Clyde Fant Parkway. Fusion Nutrition has been working out of space attached to CoHab, but owners Bea and Curtis Lee are excited about moving into a suite of their own.
You’re invited to their official Grand Opening on Friday, Nov. 17 at 2 pm, part of our Pink Weekend events downtown.
