No, it is NOT too late to find the perfect gift, and YES, you can find it downtown! Point your wagon (or sedan, SUV, truck, bicycle) to C&C Mercantile and Lighting, 1120 Texas Ave., for Final Fa La La! Shop vintage and antique wares, art, fashion, collectibles, a whole host of cute, creative, one of a kind and needful things. The extended shopping lasts tonight until 7 pm; at 4 pm, it’s officially HAPPY HOUR and you can purchase a lovely beverage and sip as you shop. We’ll see you there!

Part of the fun of the holiday season is finding that perfect gift or stocking stuffer for family, friend, loved one, or colleague. Sure, you can sit at your computer and send money to Amazon (please don’t), but instead of doing that, how about a fun shopping experience around real people, walking through cool buildings, and actually getting to hold the things you’re buying?

Turn it into a fun afternoon or evening with beverages and friends, festive coffee drinks or dinner afterwards with four upcoming special shopping events downtown. Each is different and we hope you can make it to every one of them.

Friday, December 16

The first on Friday, Dec. 16, from 11 am- 3 pm, is at 514 Crockett St., home to Shreve Towne Barber Shop. Hummer and Son Honey is hosting the Hummer Holiday Sip and Shop that features many of their delicious honey products (great for gift baskets or individual stocking items), skin care and candles from the Hummer Queen Bee line, delicious ground coffees (for gifts or keeping!) and original art by Maggie Molisee and Bertha Harris. What’s the ‘sip’ part, you ask? Shoppers will be offered champagne infused with fresh cut honeycomb. Yum!

Sunday, December 18

Go hungry to eat and shop at the Pop N Holiday Market  at Pop N Pizza, 500 Texas St., on Sunday, Dec. 18 from 1-6 pm. Peruse clothing, purses, arts, crafts, goodies and more!
