It’s almost here, are you ready? Never fear, downtown to the rescue! Mother’s Day will be here on Sunday, May 12, and we’ve got some great last-minute ideas to help elevate you to ‘Hero’ status (remember, the flip side is ‘Zero’ and nobody likes being a naught).
First, great stuff. Great gift ideas can be found at five locations downtown: The Agora Borealis at 421 Lake Street, Artspace’ giftspace at 708 Texas Street, Gina Marie’s Antiques, Oddities and Curiosities at 500 Texas Street, Louisiana Specialty Gifts in the Red River District and Appli-K’s, also in the Red River District. Take your choice of art, jewelry, coffees, bath and body products, Louisiana-themed items, pillows, antiques, even slightly-weird ‘Ripley’s Believe It or Not’-type items for the Mom who just happens to be interested in taxidermy or old autopsy items (we know, we know. Don’t cross Mom!)
We have multiple fun eating options, too.
