Ilya Shmukler, a native of Moscow, began performing at age 12, Since that time he has performed throughout the world and has earned a graduate degree in piano from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He is a laureate of many international piano competitions including finalist in the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and a Gold Medalist in the Wideman International Piano competition. Schmukler is being presented on the Texas Street Arts Series, Sunday, May 12 in Couch Chapel at 3:00 PM. It is offered without admission fee.
