Every four years state Assessors have to reassess real properties. The properties are reviewed to determine the current value. That review, or assessment, will occur in 2024. Why? Because when market value changes, the assessed value of the property also changes. Adding a pool, pool house, or garage, etc. can increase the value of your property and change the tax amount. The Caddo Assessor’s office will be reassessing properties in downtown Shreveport soon.
