Agatha and Robert McCall are back behind the counter at Fertitta’s Deli at 1124 Fairfield Avenue, serving up hot muffalettas, roast beef sandwiches, pizza, salads and more. The restaurant was closed for two months during the COVID-19 orders, and is pleased to be able to reopen under Phase 2. If you’ve not been by to see them, they would love to host you. Fertitta’s is open Mon-Fri, 10:30 am- 2 pm.
Artipsy in the Red River District (450 Clyde Fant Parkway, Suite 600) is reopening this weekend for more fun paint parties. The business has a fun $15 per canvas paint session and couples’ painting planned for June 11 and 12. Artipsy is open 5:30- 10 pm Thurs.- Sat. Remember that Artipsy serves adult beverages, so is 21-up.
Central Station at 1025 Marshall is once again open. The bar/dance club is unable to do shows and karaoke at present, but is serving up drinks and great music!
Robinson Film Center is planning their reopening for Wednesday, July 1. Downtown’s movie theater has been sorely missed and we look forward to seeing them in person again. Social distancing will be enforced by blocking off certain theater seats.

This has been an exciting week downtown! Every day we’ve been able to welcome more of our friends back, open more doors, offer more options. Here’s the latest on what’s been happening.
The Agora Borealis, downtown’s trendy and eclectic art marketplace is open for walk-in business. The store at 421 Lake Street opened Thursday, June 4. Initial days and hours of operation are Thurs.-Sat. 10 am- 6 pm.
Lena’s Shoes at 501 Milam is open and owner Pheobe Kimble will be happy to see you again. Her hours are Tues.- Fri. from 10 am- 5 pm and Saturdays, 10 am- 3 pm. LOTS of items are on sale right now!
Retro Baking Company at 500 Texas St. has reopened to walk-in traffic and they have a whole new menu, too! So many wonderful homemade treats are available here, from baked donuts and kolaches to award-winning cinnamon rolls, turnovers, cakes, cookies, brownies and cakes of all types! Hours right now are Mon.-Sat. 8 am- 3 pm.
The cute Shreve Towne Studio 512 and Book Nook are once again open for business at 512 Crockett Street. Hours are Wed.-Fri. 10 am- 4 pm & Tues./Sat. 10 am- 2 pm. In addition to local art, masks, jewelry, and delicious Hummer’s Honey products, you can buy Queen Bee Hippie lotions and skin care and check out Piphany, a new line of clothing owner Tracey Prator is stocking. She is seen here in one of the cute tops.
