A new Airbnb option has hit the downtown market, and we think it’s worth a look! Owner Leon Dayries has converted one of his apartments at 710 Crockett Street into a contemporary urban studio.
The 1400 SF space provides space for four in a 2 bedroom/1 bath unit that includes a kitchen, dining table, spacious living area and 12′ ceilings throughout.
WIFI and a gated and secure parking space are included. The unit ranges from $150-$200 per night with a two night minimum. Take a look:

Other options for a little ‘me’ time-
If you’ve let time creep up on you and you haven’t made reservations to that out-of-town spot you love to escape to, we have some suggestions for a wonderful time closer to home. Downtown is rife with ‘staycation’ opportunities, from the lovely suites and amenities at Sam’s Town Casino and Resort to the newly-branded Bally’s Shreveport to the Shreveport Hilton. All feature areas to relax, sip a glass of wine and chat, workout rooms and nearby gaming, clubs, theaters and shopping.
For something more out of the ordinary we have four fun ideas-
The Remington Suites Hotel and Spa at 220 Travis St. is a boutique hotel in the truest sense, featuring every type of pampering available. There is a beautiful indoor fitness club, salt water pool and spa; services available for facials, haircuts and manicures and even weekly yoga on the rooftop deck. The lobby bar at the Remington is warm, woody and comfortable, filled with overstuffed leather chairs and delicious drinks. Each morning, a complimentary breakfast is served to guests.
Downtown also has three Airbnb options for longer-term stays. Each one is worthy of writing home about. Who else that you know has slept in a century-old tower built to dry fire hoses? (Bet we can answer that)! The KAT, or Kallenberg Artist Tower, is the vertical Airbnb overlooking downtown and Caddo Common Park.
Hidden behind a mansard roof in the 600 block of Texas Street is the AirBnb called “Foxtrot” named after a recording/production studio. This place is huge, boasting 2400 SF of bedrooms, a luxury kitchen, a huge media room, giant king bedroom and oversized, well-appointed bathroom.
And now for something completely different. Our modern options how give way to a beautiful historic lady, built in the late 1900s with all the grace and elegance the era could muster. The Logan Mansion on Austin Place beckons…
